SAP Basis Security Expert (m/f)

Location: remote

Role Overview: Expert will support on defining, implementing, and maintaining security standards for SAP HANA environments within the RISE landscape. This role acts as the subject matter expert on all HANA-related security topics, supporting internal teams and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting on SAP HANA (On-premise and Cloud) security topics including user management, role concepts, privilege assignments, and encryption settings
• Identify, assess, and remediate HANA-level vulnerabilities and security misconfigurations across RISE environments
• Review and approve Security Architecture Design Documents (SADDs) and Security Exceptions related to HANA topics
• Support Security Hardening initiatives by contributing to HANA-specific top issues and proactive maintenance activities
• Collaborate with GCO Regional Architects on Pre-Sales, Post-Sales, and escalation activities requiring HANA security expertise
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, security guidelines, and best practices for HANA security

Required Skills & Experience

• Deep knowledge on SAP HANA security architecture (roles, privileges, auditing, encryption, network security) including HANA On-premise and HANA Cloud
• Familiarity with SAP Security Notes and patch management processes
• Knowledge of relevant compliance frameworks (eg SOC 2, ISO 27001)
• Ability to communicate complex security topics to technical and non-technical audiences
