Our local authority client based in Maidenhead are urgently seeking an experienced Technical Officer.

£15.66 an hour PAYE

Purpose of the Role

This is a project-specific position supporting a Local Land Charges Migration Project, involving the transfer of Local Land Charges data to HM Land Registry (HMLR). The successful candidate will help resolve historical data issues and support the migration of records between systems.

The role has been created due to:

• Increased workload within the project team.

• Capacity constraints across existing teams.

• The need to process and cleanse complex historical planning and land charge data.

Key Responsibilities

Data Migration & Cleansing

• Support migration of Local Land Charges data to HM Land Registry.
• Investigate and resolve records that have been deferred due to:
• Missing spatial data.
• Incorrect mapping information.
• Property matching issues.
• Historical address discrepancies.

System Administration & Analysis

Work across:

• TLC (Land Charges System)
• Uniform (Planning Case Management System)

Activities include:

• Reviewing planning application records.
• Verifying spatial data.
• Comparing information between systems.
• Correcting discrepancies in migrated data.

Research & Investigation

The role requires:

• Historical property research.
• Reviewing legacy planning records.
• Working with archived information.
• Investigating how properties and land parcels were recorded at specific points in time.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Essential Skills

GIS / Spatial Mapping Experience

The strongest requirement identified during the briefing was experience with:

• GIS systems
• Spatial mapping
• Geographical/property-based datasets
• Address and mapping validation work

Strong Technical Administration Skills

Candidates should be comfortable:

• Managing complex datasets.
• Working across multiple systems.
• Investigating data inconsistencies.

Performing detailed record checking.
