OT Security Consultant – Remote / UK Client Site Travel

We’re working with a specialist cyber security consultancy that is building out a new Operational Technology / ICS security service line due to growing demand from clients across industrial, energy and critical infrastructure environments.

They are looking for an experienced OT Security Consultant who can lead assessments across ICS, SCADA and live operational environments, while helping shape the methodology, tooling and future direction of the practice.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role covering:

OT / ICS security assessments

SCADA and control system environment reviews

IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82 and NCSC CAF aligned work

IT / OT convergence, segmentation and remote access reviews

OT-aware vulnerability assessments using non-disruptive approaches

Reporting and briefings for both engineering teams and senior stakeholders

Supporting the development of a growing OT security service line

Key experience required:

Demonstrable OT / ICS security delivery experience

Strong understanding of ICS / SCADA components and OT protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, OPC, PROFINET, PLCs, RTUs and HMIs

Experience working around live plant, industrial or safety-critical environments

Strong client-facing communication and report writing skills

CISSP or GICSP certification

UK right to work

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites

Useful but not essential:

GICSP, GRID, GCIP or ISA/IEC 62443 certifications

Energy, utilities, water, manufacturing or wider critical infrastructure experience

OT monitoring and asset discovery tools such as Nozomi, Claroty, Dragos or Tenable OT

SC clearance eligibility

Background in penetration testing, assurance or audit

This is a full-time, permanent position offering remote working, varied UK client engagements and the opportunity to play a key role in building a new OT security capability.
