Oracle Developer

A well-established Software House in Slough is looking for an experienced Oracle Database Developer to join their technical team and play a key role in the design, development, and optimisation of business-critical database solutions.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code, working closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure high-performance, scalable database solutions. This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely enjoys writing proper PL/SQL—not just babysitting legacy code.

What You’ll Need

• 10+ years’ commercial experience working with Oracle PL/SQL
• Strong, clean, and efficient Oracle SQL & PL/SQL programming skills
• Experience developing complex stored procedures, packages, functions, and triggers
• A high standard of coding with a focus on performance, maintainability, and best practices
• Proven experience working in a software house or similar fast-paced environment

Nice to Have (but not deal-breakers)

• Performance tuning and query optimisation
• Experience supporting or refactoring legacy Oracle systems
• Exposure to modern development practices and version control
