QHSE Manager
The role will require UK travel (4-5 times per month)
Our client, a technology organisation is seeking an experienced QHSE Manager to lead health, safety, environmental and quality governance across the business.
Reporting to the Director of Operations UK, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with UK legislation, maintaining ISO management systems, and driving a proactive safety culture across operational teams. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight and includes travel to operational sites across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead health and safety strategy and ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and CDM Regulations
- Manage and improve QHSE management systems
- Lead audits, site inspections and incident investigations (including RIDDOR)
- Maintain ISO 9001 certification and support ISO 14001 systems
- Manage risk registers and compliance reporting to senior leadership
- Oversee contractor governance and safe systems of work
- Deliver QHSE training and promote a proactive safety culture
- Act as key contact for regulators including the HSE and Environment Agency
Requirements
- NEBOSH National General Certificate (minimum)
- NEBOSH Diploma preferred
- IOSH membership (GradIOSH+), CMIOSH desirable
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
- Experience within infrastructure, highways, engineering, utilities, rail or similar sectors
- Experience conducting audits and managing compliance systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Full UK driving licence
