Security Consultant – Identity & Active Directory
London base / FULLY ONSITE
We’re working with a client delivering a major security-focused programme of work, with a strong emphasis on Active Directory and Identity Security at an enterprise level. They’re looking for a seasoned Security Consultant who can operate confidently in complex environments and engage effectively with both technical teams and stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical breadth with a consultative mindset—someone who can get into the detail when needed, but also guide, influence, and delegate to SMEs across specialist areas.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in assessing, improving, and guiding security practices across enterprise environments, with a particular focus on Active Directory and identity-related controls.
You’ll be expected to:
- Engage directly with clients, both written and face-to-face, with credibility and clarity
- Take ownership of workstreams—being proactive, thorough, and investigative in your approach
- Operate across a broad technical landscape, pulling in specialist expertise where required
- Contribute to the design, assessment, and improvement of security controls across identity and infrastructure
What We’re Looking For
Core Requirements
- Strong experience with Active Directory in enterprise environments
- Solid background in Identity Security and related domains
- Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders
- Self-starting, curious, and detail-oriented with a “get it done” mindset
Technical Experience
We’re not expecting someone to tick every box, but a broad spread of experience across several of the below is important:
- Identity & Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance & Administration (IGA)
- Directory Services (Active Directory, LDAP, etc.)
- Windows and/or *nix environments
- Scripting (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Web technologies (Apache, IIS, etc.)
- DevOps and software development practices
- Application integration
- Reporting and data analysis
