Cloud Architect - Azure | Retail | Hybrid (Leeds 2x/week) | Up to £90,000

Are you a Cloud Architect ready to shape the future of technology in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment?

We're partnering with a rapidly growing retail organisation based in Leeds that’s undergoing a significant digital transformation. They’re now looking to bring in a Cloud Architect to take ownership of cloud strategy and architectural design as they scale their operations and prepare for the future.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As the Cloud Architect, you’ll work closely with infrastructure and cloud engineering teams to design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions. You’ll lead both high-level and low-level designs (HLD/LLD) and play a strategic role in shaping the company’s cloud-first roadmap.

You’ll be instrumental in:

• Defining and implementing scalable cloud architectures in Microsoft Azure
• Leading design and implementation of Kubernetes-based solutions
• Creating clear and effective HLD/LLD documentation
• Advising on cloud strategy, security, performance, and cost optimisation
• Collaborating cross-functionally to implement new technologies and support future growth

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong, hands-on experience in Azure architecture and design
• Expertise with Kubernetes and containerised environments
• A background in Cloud Engineering or Infrastructure
• Solid understanding of enterprise architecture principles
• Strong experience designing both HLD and LLD
• Excellent stakeholder communication and strategic thinking skills

Bonus (Not Essential):

• Experience with Application Gateways
• Exposure to Cloudflare for performance and security optimisation
