Infrastructure Operations Manager - Hybrid - Up to £80,000 + 15% bonus + Excellent Benefits
We’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure Operations Manager to take ownership of our end-to-end infrastructure landscape across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments. This is a key leadership role where you’ll manage a team of 6, work closely with senior stakeholders, and shape the strategy that modernises and optimises our technology estate.
You’ll be responsible for driving the transition from legacy infrastructure to modern platforms, developing and executing our cloud strategy, and embedding robust standards, governance, and operational processes across the function.
The role is hybrid (2 days on site near Leeds) paying up to £80K + 15% bonus + Excellent Benefits
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of infrastructure engineers, providing direction, coaching, and performance management
- Oversee infrastructure operations across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud platforms
- Develop and deliver an infrastructure strategy aligned to business goals
- Optimise the existing infrastructure estate to improve performance, resilience, security, and cost efficiency
- Plan and deliver migrations from legacy technologies to modern platforms and cloud services
- Define and implement cloud strategy, standards, and best practices
- Establish and enforce governance, policies, processes, and procedures across infrastructure operations
- Act as a key liaison between IT and the wider business, translating technical capabilities into business outcomes
- Manage relationships with third-party suppliers, vendors, and partners
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and operational excellence across all environments
About You
- Proven experience in an Infrastructure Operations or Infrastructure Management role
- Strong background across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure
- Experience leading and developing technical teams
- Hands-on experience delivering infrastructure and cloud migration programmes
- Strong understanding of infrastructure governance, standards, and operational processes
- Confident communicator with experience working closely with senior stakeholders and the wider business
- Comfortable managing third-party suppliers and service providers
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term planning and day-to-day operations
