Operations Executive

Location: Hybrid (London presence preferred – 1 day per week in Central London office)

Salary: £35,000 base

Are you an organised and proactive operations professional with strong scheduling and coordination skills? Do you enjoy keeping teams on track, managing diaries, and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes?

Our client, an award-winning, growing Cyber Security consultancy, is seeking an Operations Executive to join its operations support function.

This role will play a key part in supporting day-to-day operations, managing consultant schedules, coordinating resources, and handling travel and administrative tasks to support the wider team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone earlier in their operations career who is keen to develop within a growing consultancy environment, with strong potential for progression as the business continues to expand.

This is not a basic admin role, we are looking for someone with some prior experience who can think on their feet, take ownership of tasks, and grow within the team.

The Role

The Operations Executive will play a key role in keeping the consultancy organised and running smoothly. The focus is heavily weighted towards:

Resource & Consultant Management

  • Managing and maintaining consultant diaries
  • Coordinating which consultants are assigned to which projects and when
  • Tracking availability, utilisation and capacity
  • Supporting forward planning of resources across delivery teams
  • Assisting with business health forecasting and reporting

Travel & Logistics Coordination

  • Booking travel and accommodation (flights, trains, hotels) for consultants
  • Handling schedule changes and rearranging travel when required
  • Ensuring consultants have clear itineraries and engagement details

Operational & Administrative Support

  • Providing day-to-day administrative “legwork” to support the Operations Director and Operations Manager.
  • Supporting reporting, utilisation tracking and internal resource data
  • Assisting with documentation and operational processes
  • Getting involved in potential implementation of new systems
  • Taking on ad-hoc tasks to keep the business running efficiently

The role supports a growing Cyber consultancy team, and requires someone who can be adaptable and ready to contribute in a fast-paced environment.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience

  • At least 12 months of experience in an operations, resource coordination, scheduling or internal resource management role
  • Experience in internal resource management within an insurance firm, bank or professional services environment is suitable
  • Consultancy or cyber experience is preferred but not mandatory.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to be developed and mentored.

Skills & Attributes

  • Highly organised and detail-oriented
  • Proactive with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude
  • Able to think on your feet and adapt quickly
  • Strong diary management and coordination capability
  • Comfortable managing multiple moving parts at once
  • Positive, energetic with a team-oriented mindset
  • Amenable and willing to pick up whatever is needed
  • Commercially aware with a basic understanding of business operations

Importantly, we are looking for someone with the right attitude and get-up-and-go, who can be moulded and developed within the team

Package & Working Arrangement

  • £35,000 salary
  • Preference for London-based candidates (1 day per week in the office)
  • Clear opportunity for progression and development
