We're partnering with a boutique data analytics and technology consultancy with a strong and growing footprint across UK Central Government.

Following sustained organic growth and increasing demand from major departments, they are now looking to appoint a UK Central Government Sales Director / Growth Lead to own and drive revenue growth across the central government landscape.

This is a pure senior sales/growth leadership role within a consulting firm.

You will be responsible for winning, growing, and owning revenue across central government by selling technology consulting services, including:

  • Data & analytics consulting
  • Cloud & platform services
  • AI, digital & transformation programmes
  • Complex multi-year consulting engagements

You will operate as the commercial owner for UK Central Government, working alongside delivery leaders but personally accountable for pipeline, wins, and revenue growth.

This is a senior, sales-led leadership role focused on winning new business, expanding strategic accounts, and positioning the firm as a long-term partner to departments including DWP, Home Office, MoD, and others.

The Opportunity

This role sits squarely at the intersection of sales leadership, account growth, and public sector technology consulting. You'll take ownership of central government revenue, build and convert a strong pipeline, and lead senior client relationships across priority departments.

You will act as the commercial face of the business within the UK Government, shaping opportunities, influencing buying decisions, and working closely with delivery leadership to win and grow high-value engagements.

What You'll Do

  • Own and drive new business and account growth across UK Central Government.
  • Build, manage, and convert a robust pipeline of opportunities across key departments.
  • Develop and maintain trusted, senior-level relationships within government.
  • Lead sales strategy across target accounts, frameworks, and routes to market.
  • Shape and sell data, analytics, cloud, and AI-led propositions aligned to public sector priorities.
  • Work closely with consulting and delivery teams to scope, price, and close complex engagements.
  • Position the consultancy as a strategic, long-term partner rather than a transactional supplier.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven track record of winning new logos and revenue within the UK Central Government (essential).
  • Personal ownership of new business wins, not just account support or delivery.
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement, frameworks, and buying cycles.
  • Direct experience selling into departments such as Home Office, DWP, MoD, HMRC, Cabinet Office, or equivalent.
  • Strong background selling technology or data consulting services into the public sector (essential).
  • Established senior relationships across central government departments and agencies.
  • Ability to translate cloud, data, AI, and digital capability into clear, value-led government outcomes.
  • Highly commercial, credible with senior stakeholders, and confident owning targets and growth strategy.
