Senior Cyber Architect
Senior Cyber Architect
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 base DOE
Remote/Home-based role with infrequent travel to client sites as and when required.
MUST be eligible for UK Government Security Clearance.
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Architect to join a fast-paced consulting engagement within a complex, high-impact technology environment.
This isn’t a purely advisory position; it’s for someone who can design, build, and implement secure solutions across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures .
You’ll take ownership of key security projects, applying deep technical understanding to real-world challenges, and ensuring solutions are both secure and practical.
We’re looking for someone who mirrors the blend of hands-on expertise and architectural thinking. If you thrive on solving complex challenges, guiding organisations on their secure-by-design journey, and working across diverse industries and technologies, this could be your next big move.
What you’ll be doing as a Senior Cyber Architect:
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, shaping secure security architecture solutions from concept through to implementation.
- Designing and implementing security controls, frameworks, and technical solutions.
- Designing and delivering security architecture across hybrid, cloud, and on-premises environments.
- Navigating complex technical ecosystems that span operational tech, cloud, and on-premise systems.
- Producing high-quality deliverables, from threat models and risk assessments to secure architecture blueprints.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients, translating technical detail into business language.
- Partnering with client teams, project managers, and technical specialists to deliver transformation programmes.
We are looking for a Senior Cyber Architect who has experience:
- Strong on-premise experience — especially in securing traditional infrastructure and understanding legacy system dependencies.
- Proven hands-on experience in security architecture — not just advisory. You’ve designed, implemented, and delivered secure systems yourself (this is essential)
- Background in security engineering, SecOps, pen testing, or other hands-on technical roles.
- Excellent communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Adaptability to work across varied industries and technologies.
- Experience in regulated or high-availability environments (e.g., aviation, manufacturing, critical infrastructure) is advantageous but not essential.
Desirable certifications:
- CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
- SABSA, TOGAF, or other architecture certifications.
- ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer.
- Azure cloud certifications.
Why join our client:
You’ll be part of a forward-thinking consultancy where your expertise is valued, your ideas shape the future, and your work has a genuine impact. Expect to collaborate with leading organisations across multiple industries, tackle varied and exciting challenges and grow your career in an environment that encourages innovation and excellence. They have an excellent collaborative, people-first culture offering a fantastic place to work.
