The role
We’re looking for a hands-on Sales Manager to lead, coach, and scale a technical sales team selling engineering and digital consulting services into complex, engineering-led organisations.
This role suits someone who has carried a quota, understands long-cycle, consultative sales, and now enjoys getting more out of others — not just closing deals themselves.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading and developing a small team of sales / BD professionals
- Setting direction, priorities, and sales discipline (pipeline, forecasting, deal reviews)
- Coaching the team on consultative selling of complex engineering services
- Supporting key opportunities — discovery, solution shaping, senior stakeholder engagement
- Working closely with technical and delivery leaders to align commercial and delivery strategy
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience managing or supervising sales teams
- Background in engineering services, technical consulting, or complex B2B solutions
- Comfortable selling into engineering, R&D, manufacturing, industrial or energy-led clients
- Strong coaching mindset with a player–coach approach
- Able to balance commercial rigour with technical credibility

- Sales leaders from engineering consultancies or digital engineering firms
- Senior BDs / Account Directors ready for first or second-line management
- Experience selling simulation, PLM, product development, or technical services
