An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experiencedCNC Sliding Head Setter / Programmerto join a precision engineering manufacturer based in Watford. This role will see you working onCitizen or Star sliding head machines, producing intricate components in small to medium batch runs. Youll be programming, setting and operating to aerospace-level tolerances using a variety of high-specification materials, including stainless steel, aluminium, brass, and titanium.

• Set and program Citizen or Star sliding head lathes for precision batch production.
• Work confidently from detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Carry out first-off inspections and quality checks to ensure accuracy.
• Manage both prototype and repeat batch work in line with schedules.
• Collaborate with production team to maintain machine performance, troubleshoot and optimise.
• Maintain a safe, clean and efficient working environment.

• Proven experience with CNC sliding head lathes (Citizen or Star).
• Strong background in setting, programming and operating to tight tolerances.
• Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality output.
