Warehouse Manager

We are looking for an experience WAREHOUSE Manager who will basedin a Rugby. The warehouse itself is operated by a third-partylogistics company, and your job is to make sure they'redelivering what the automotive client you represent, needs.You'll monitor their performance, investigate problems, chaseurgent parts, check stock accuracy, challenge missed SLAs andwork with the wider business to improve the operationTITLE : Automotive Parts Specialist - LogisticsSalary : circa £40,000 p/a + 15% bonus (additional£6,000). Salary may be negotiableLocation: RugbyThe role: This is an OEM-side warehouse/3PL operations role withreal ownership, rather than a conventional warehouse job. Theposition is based at a UK warehouse in Rugby, and you willeffectively be the company’s representative on site, acting asthe main interface between the business and its third-partylogistics provider. You will oversee and challenge the 3PLprovider: monitoring receiving, put-away, storage, picking,packing, dispatch and returns and making sure the logisticspartner is performing against its contract and SLAs.Duties :There is genuine operational problem-solving role and alarge part of the job is dealing with things that have gone wrong— urgent orders, backorders, incorrect shipments, shortages,damage and stock discrepancies. The job specifically works acrossSupply Chain, Aftersales, Finance, IT and the 3PL operation. Theywould also look for ways of making the operation faster, moreaccurate or less expensive· Look at the previous week's warehouse performance: Wereorders dispatched on time? How accurate was picking? Were partsput away quickly enough? Are there backorders or urgent dealerorders outstanding? Are there any stock discrepancies? The rolespecifically tracks put-away lead time, on-time dispatch, pickingaccuracy and inventory accuracy. They'd then speak with the 3PLteam about problems and agree what needs attention that week.· Walk the warehouse checking inbound parts, storage,picking, packing and dispatch processes. A dealer may havereceived the wrong component, a shipment may be short or damaged,or the system may show stock that can't actually be found. TheParts Specialist investigates what happened and coordinates thesolution.· Stock & Inventory reviewing inventory accuracy, cyclecounts and discrepancies with the 3PL The role supports bothcycle counts and the annual stocktake· Improvements. Talk to Aftersales about an urgent dealerrequirement, Supply Chain about incoming stock, Finance about adiscrepancy, or IT because something isn't flowing correctlythrough the system.· Performance review review the week's KPIs with the 3PLsuggest improvementsREQUIREMENTS.1.
