Senior Pre-Sales Consultant - Networking & Security

Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office)

Salary: Up to £85,000 basic + £15,000 bonus + excellent benefits

The Opportunity

We're partnering with a leading technology and consulting organisation that helps businesses secure, automate and optimise their network and IT infrastructure.

Part of a global group operating across more than 50 markets, the business supports over 3,000 clients and combines deep technical expertise with innovative, data-driven solutions. Their Network Services division is experiencing significant growth and works with major organisations across sectors including Media, Financial Services, Government, Telecommunications and Utilities.

As a Pre-Sales Consultant, you'll play a key role in shaping technical solutions for customers, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced networking and security specialist who enjoys engaging with customers, designing solutions and influencing business growth.

The Role

Working closely with Sales, Solutions Consultants, Network & Security SMEs and leading technology vendors, you will be responsible for designing and presenting customer-focused solutions that address complex business and technical challenges.

Key responsibilities include:

Customer Engagement & Solution Discovery
  • Engage with customers to understand business objectives, technical requirements and operational challenges
  • Lead technical workshops, discovery sessions and solution presentations
  • Build strong relationships with technical stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Provide expert guidance on networking, security and cloud-based solutions
Solution Design & Proposal Development
  • Design enterprise networking and security solutions using technologies from vendors including Cisco, Arista, Fortinet and F5
  • Produce high-quality solution proposals, technical documentation and presentations
  • Create accurate Bills of Materials (BoMs) and support the development of Statements of Work (SoWs)
  • Ensure solutions are commercially viable, technically robust and aligned with customer requirements
Bid & RFP Management
  • Lead the technical aspects of bids, tenders and RFP responses
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendor partners to develop winning proposals
  • Ensure technical responses are accurate, compliant and delivered within deadlines
Vendor & Internal Collaboration
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key technology partners
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, product roadmaps and industry trends
  • Contribute to the development of new services and solution offerings
  • Produce technical content, white papers and thought leadership material
About You

We're looking for an experienced pre-sales professional with a strong networking and security background and a passion for solving customer challenges.

You'll have:

  • 8+ years' experience in a Pre-Sales, Solutions Consulting or Technical Presales role within a VAR, MSP or Professional Services environment
  • Strong expertise in enterprise networking, network security, cloud technologies and network automation
  • Experience designing solutions across technologies including Cisco, Arista, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point and F5
  • A strong understanding of public cloud environments
  • Proven experience producing BoMs, technical proposals and customer presentations
  • Experience responding to RFPs, managing bids and supporting complex sales opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and C-level stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
Desirable Certifications

Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, NSE4, PCNSE, CCSE, CISSP, CISM or equivalent would be highly advantageous.

A full UK driving licence is required.
