Junior Surveyor Apprentice
A practical, technology-focused role where you start by assisting experienced surveyors and progressively develop the skills to become an independent surveyor/geospatial technician.

Role
Typical work includes the following duties and responsibilities:
- Carrying out site surveys and precise measurements
- Learning to use equipment such as GNSS, total stations, laser scanners and drones
- Processing survey data and producing 2D plans and 3D models
- Working across varied projects, including construction, infrastructure, utilities and environmental work
- Developing technical knowledge in areas such as GIS, surveying, geodesy and data processing
- Academy Geomatics is also supporting the Level 3 Geospatial Survey Technician apprenticeship, a 24-month programme combining workplace experience with formal training

- Geospatial Survey Technician Level 3
- Block release (3 blocks of 2 weeks per academic year)

In the future there may be opportunity for the apprentice to progress to Senior Surveyor level.
