A leading UK investment bank and corporate advisory firm is seeking a Vice President or Director to join its growing Technology, Media, and Telecoms (TMT) Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team in London. The firm advises public and private growth companies across IPOs, secondary capital raises, corporate broking, and public M&A transactions, primarily on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM and Main Market. Operating within a high-growth and collaborative environment, this role offers a strong platform for transaction leadership, deal origination, and direct exposure to public company boards and institutional investors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transaction Execution: Lead the execution of public market transactions, including IPOs, secondary fundraisings (rights issues, placings, open offers), and public M&A mandates within the TMT sector.
  • Client Management & Corporate Broking: Act as the primary adviser for a portfolio of AIM and Main Market listed TMT corporate clients, guiding board members and senior executives on investor relations, market positioning, and regulatory disclosures.
  • Origination & Business Development: Drive origination efforts by preparing high-quality pitch books, marketing materials, and investment cases to secure new corporate broking, IPO, and advisory mandates.
  • Financial & Valuation Analysis: Oversee the production of valuation models, pricing strategies, and financial analysis to support equity offerings, bookbuilding, and transaction structuring.
  • Syndicate & Investor Relations: Coordinate closely with equity sales, research, and trading desks to manage bookbuilding, gather market intelligence, target institutional investors, and optimize transaction pricing.
  • Regulatory & Nomad Compliance: Navigate and manage compliance with the London Stock Exchange, AIM Rules, and FCA guidelines, serving as a trusted partner on regulatory disclosures, transactions, and corporate governance.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise, mentor, and develop junior team members (Analysts and Associates), ensuring rigorous attention to detail and high-quality deliverables across all live mandates.
  • Sector Thought Leadership: Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, regulatory shifts, and emerging business models in the TMT sector to produce insightful market updates and reinforce the firm's position as a leading sector specialist.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: 5–10 years’ experience in Equity Capital Markets (ECM), corporate broking, or public M&A within a reputable investment bank or corporate advisory boutique, with a distinct focus on the TMT sector.
  • Technical Competence: Strong expertise in ECM transaction structures, valuation methodologies, public market pricing, and investor targeting, alongside deep industry knowledge of TMT sub-sectors (e.g., software, fintech, digital media).
  • Execution Experience: Proven track record of leading and executing live public market transactions on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) or AIM.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of the UK regulatory landscape (FCA rules, AIM Rules, and the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers); being a qualified Nomad (Nominated Adviser) or having Nomad-relevant experience is highly advantageous.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, with a proven ability to present complex financial and strategic options with confidence to C-suite executives, public company boards, and institutional investors.
  • Personality & Mindset: Entrepreneurial, highly motivated, and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to business development and a strong capability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
  • Education: Strong academic background in finance, economics, STEM, or related quantitative disciplines.
