CAD Apprentice
This is a exciting opportunity for anyone looking to start a career using CAD software in the built environment. You will learn engineering and draughting design skills to prepare detailed cladding drawings for a Roofing & Cladding business using CAD software.
Role
- CAD software for example AUTOCAD / TEKLA
- CDM regulations and responsibilities in the built environment
- Understand the scope and requirements of each project
- Understand the cladding products, systems and standards
- Create a number of drawings from structural steel and architectural drawing packages
- Ensure all information is accurate and clear
- To work well within a close knit team, and communicate with others including architects and steelwork contractors to ensure design compatibility, addressing
Training
- Design and Draughting skills, knowledge and behaviours - delivered in the workplace
- Level 3 BTEC in construction and the built Environment
- End Point Assessment
If Apprentice successfully completes the Apprenticeship they may have the opportunity to progress into a long-term position and develop further skills within ACLAD.
