The mission?

To make healthcare simpler and more accessible through beautifully designed SaaS products. You’ll help shape the platform and its future, influencing tech strategy, engineering culture, and delivery at scale.

You’ll join a remote-first team (UK-based, with quarterly meetups), delivering changes to production over 100 times a month. Speed and safety go hand in hand here — supported by a mature, CI/CD-first mindset.

The Tech

  • Ruby, Rails, Ember, JavaScript, Postgres, AWS
  • With exposure to Node.js, TypeScript, C#, and .NET in other squads
  • And emerging AI tooling already being trialled across the organisation

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with the Director of Engineering and EMs to diagnose and fix systemic tech issues
  • Set technical direction across squads, with real influence over product decisions
  • Design systems with scale, reliability, and security in mind
  • Champion engineering excellence - from architecture to AI experimentation

Who you are:

You’re already a Principal, Staff, or Lead Engineer working on complex SaaS platforms. You don’t just understand architecture — you roll up your sleeves and build.

You’ve guided squads, influenced strategy, and bridged the gap between business needs and engineering priorities.

You’ve worked with Ruby/Rails, but you’re curious beyond your comfort zone. And you don’t need micromanaging — you thrive on autonomy.

  • £120,000 base (possibly more for the right person)
  • 10% bonus
