Job Description:
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the migration of our On-Premise 2013 Exchange Server to either On-Premise Exchange Server 2016 or Exchange Online. Additionally, you will conduct a comprehensive review of our current email/messaging architecture, providing prioritised recommendations for improvements. Subject to approval, you will have the opportunity to implement these improvements, ensuring a streamlined and efficient system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Migration of On-Premise 2013 Exchange Server to On-Premise Exchange Server 2016 or migrate to Exchange Online.
- Conduct a full review of the current email/messaging architecture, producing priority recommendations for improvements.
- Implement approved improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our email/messaging systems.

Technical Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server technologies (2013, 2016, 2019) and Exchange Online.
- Experience with Microsoft Infrastructure technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, VMware vitalisation, and network services.
- Experience with Citrix Server and Citrix products.
- Familiarity with Windows Virtual Desktop and associated migrations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Admin and Infrastructure Monitoring Tools (e.g., SCOM, Vantage DX, Solarwinds).
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and building/deploying Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktops.
- Motivated self-starter who thrives under pressure and delivers to agreed timescales.
Qualifications:
- Ideally, a strong track record working in government bodies or the wider public sector.
