Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Warwick, UK

Work Mode: Hybrid - Hybrid – 2 to 3 days a week On Site

Job Purpose

To support Client’s transformation to a digital workspace, enabling flexible working anytime, anywhere. The Senior Engineer is a crucial role within the End User Technology Experience (EUX) team, driving Strategic and Engineering direction for Device, Data, and Access. The role works with Vendors, Partners, Project teams and key stakeholders to define, communicate, document and engineer solutions, support high level incidents, troubleshoot escalated issues, and ensure world class user experience and continuing service improvement. Works closely with Solution Architects and Business Enablement teams to market Product updates, improvements, and experiences.

Key Accountabilities

• Focus areas: Modern Endpoint Management, Intune (MAM-WE), SCCM, Windows 7/10/11, Group Policy, WaaS, Autopilot, SCCM Co-management

• Implement key initiatives within Device and Data organization

• Engineering solutions aligned to product roadmaps, current state and future vision

• Work with architecture, engineering manager, product owners and delivery functions

• Provide insights into products, technologies and market trends

• Troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues as final escalation level

• Develop relationships with vendors, business and technology leaders

• Document solutions, SOPs and endpoint configuration standards

• Hardware testing and selection across business areas

• Present recommendations, communicate technical issues clearly

• Work with IT Communications and Business Enablement to market products

• Support transition to operations using ITIL and capability maturity

Knowledge, Experience and Technical Know-How

• Minimum 10 years’ End User Technologies experience including Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy, SCCM, Application packaging, Microsoft O365, SOE, VMWare, VDI, endpoint hardware, encryption (BitLocker, Checkpoint)

• Implemented migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11

• In-depth Autopilot and zero-touch deployments knowledge

• Experience writing and running Powershell scripts

• Worked in Agile environment and practices

• Solid experience with Intune, WaaS, SCCM Co-management

• 3 years’ experience managing macOS/iOS deployments

• Knowledge of MDM solutions: Airwatch, MobileIron, JAMF

• Desire to build powerful, simple, well-designed products and services

• Working knowledge of agile development methodologies

• Strategic, creative thinking, self-motivation and problem-solving

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, documentation and presentation

• Ability to manage time, prioritise, meet aggressive deadlines

• Strong attention to detail, technical intuition, expectation management

• Success in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience

Qualifications

Essential: Bachelor’s or higher

Essential: At least 10 years’ experience as Senior Engineer with strategic focus

Desirable: Regulated industry experience; delivering internal end-user products; Jira, PowerBI, security tools
