Field IT Support Engineer

Job Title: Field IT Support Engineer Location: Hybrid working, Norwich We have an exciting opportunity with an established & still growing organisation who offer great training for a Field IT Support Engineer. They are a leading provider within their specialised sector.Within this role you will be responsible for on-site support and troubleshooting across different locations. This includes installation and configuration of new devices, device upgrades, and assisting with IT and Telecoms projects.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site support & troubleshooting across sites.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations requiring in-person attendance.
  • Deliver scheduled “floor walking” services to proactively support users.
  • Install and configure new and upgraded IT and Telecoms equipment.
  • Support installation of IT, Networking, and Telecoms projects.
  • Assist with desk moves, internal office moves, and office relocations.
  • Support the on-boarding of new clients, new users, and acquisitions.
  • Build strong, trusted, in-person relationships with clients.
  • Maintain accurate records in our PSA/RMM and documentation system.
  • Provide on-site services where you will be primarily based.
  • Assist our Service Desk and Provisioning teams when not travelling.
Experience and Skills Required You should have experience with M365, Active Directory and Windows across troubleshooting and support. You should also have experience upgrading laptops & desktops and have knowledge of anti-virus, malware & web content filtering solutions.Other experience required:
  • Cat5e/Cat6 cabling: patching, termination & testing.
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of DrayTek (or similar) routers.
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of Ubiquiti Wi-Fi (or similar).
  • Experience liaising with third-party providers (e.g. Dell, BT).
  • Strong customer service and client-facing skills.
  • Experience working within formal processes (e.g. ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

Working Pattern
