IT Helpdesk x 2

A global IT consultancy is looking for 2 part time IT Helpdesk Support professionals to provide 1st line support to staff onsite for one of their clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, delivering excellent service, and working in a fast-paced environment.

You will be the first point of contact for IT-related issues and will help ensure smooth day-to-day operation of hardware, software, and network systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support via phone, email, and in person
  • Log and manage support tickets through the helpdesk system
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues
  • Set up and configure laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Manage user accounts (password resets, permissions, onboarding/offboarding)
  • Install and update software applications
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or third-party providers
  • Maintain accurate documentation of issues and solutions
  • Support basic cybersecurity best practices (e.g., MFA setup, phishing awareness)
  • Assist with IT asset management and inventory tracking

Required Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in IT support, helpdesk, or similar role
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts (Wi-Fi, VPN, IP configuration)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload independently

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira Service Management, Zendesk, Freshservice)
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory or Azure AD
  • Familiarity with remote support tools
  • CompTIA A+ or similar IT certification
