Are you an experienced infrastructure technician looking to work with cutting-edge smart building technologies in a dynamic airport environment?

We're seeking a Smart Building Infrastructure Technician to join our on-site team at Gatwick Airport. You’ll be responsible for the installation, support, and maintenance of a wide range of smart building systems — from copper and fibre networks to IoT, AV, and electronic security devices.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong cabling expertise who’s eager to grow their skill set across modern building technologies.

What You’ll Do

• Install and test copper, fibre, voice, AV, and security cabling.
• Assemble telecom cabinets and install containment systems.
• Mount and patch network equipment (Wi-Fi, CCTV, IoT, switches, servers).
• Conduct fault finding, repairs, and routine maintenance.
• Ensure full compliance with H&S standards and complete project documentation.

What We’re Looking For Experience & Skills:

• 3+ years in a similar role, with solid knowledge of cabling systems.
• Confident using test equipment (Fluke, OTDR) and interpreting technical drawings.
• Familiarity with AV, Electronic Security, IoT, and Wireless/Mobile networks.
• Comfortable working at height and using access platforms (MEWPs, PASMA).

Qualifications (Required):

• ECS/CSCS Card
• Relevant technical certification (e.g., CNCI®, CNIT®, BICSI Level 2/3)
• Full UK Driving Licence

Bonus Points For:

• Experience in airport or transport environments
• First Aid certification
• 5 GCSEs (including Maths & English)
• IPAF or PASMA
