On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Solutions Architect for a 12 Month contract based in Derby (3 days per week on-site).Candidates must hold or be eligible to receive Active SC Clearance.
The Role & Responsibilities:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced SAP Solution Architect to join the Sales, Inventory & Operation (SIOP) team and work hand in glove with our Central Team to focus on SAP ERP and supporting systems.
Your Daily focus will be on this key strategic (SIOP) project, designing and implementing an integrated SAP architecture that ensures seamless build & configuration patterns with our new Advanced Planning Systems (APS). You will also support on central team in managing this work in consideration of our existing SAP ECC estate and priorities.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing an integrated SAP architecture that ensures seamless operations across business units. You will take accountability for process design, data and system configuration, ensuring a consolidated and balanced approach to improvement, deployment and compliance within the SAP and supporting toolsets.
Responsibilities:
- Govern and administer the SAP design review and go-live review process and develop the Subject Mater Experts capacity to effectively contribute.
- Contribute to and review architecture documents produced by project Architects.
- Engage in the technical change control process, ensuring that projects and small changes are defined, test requirements declared, and risks/costs/impacts quantified.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define/update SAP governance, security, and data management policies.
- Evaluate SAP best practices and tailor solutions to enhance business agility and scalability.
- Provide technical guidance and oversee SAP development teams.
- Ensure the infrastructure meets current and projected business needs, especially from a security perspective
- Review system development requests, user access and security role development to ensure compliance with existing defence and U.S. export agreements in place for ERP landscape
Key Accountabilities, Skills & Experience:
- Extensive SAP Solution Architecture experience within complex enterprise environments
- Strong background in SAP ERP, particularly within Supply Chain / Planning modules
- Experience designing integrated ERP architectures across multiple systems
- Experience leading architecture governance and design reviews
- Strong experience with system integration and data management
- Experience working across large multi-workstream transformation programmes
Desirable Criteria:
- Active SC Clearance.
- Experience with Advanced Planning Systems (APS) integrations
- Exposure to SAP Datasphere / modern SAP data platforms
- Experience working in aerospace, or highly regulated environments
- Experience working with large SAP ECC estates
- Background in supply chain transformation programmes
