Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Business Analyst-BBSI and ISA Reporting for a 12 Month contract based in Birmingham/Manchester, hybrid (2 days in the office).

Purpose of the role:

We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst Contractor to join our clients Banking team, supporting regulatory reporting initiatives with a focus on Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) and BBSI/OI (Bank, Building Society Interest / Other Income). This role will report directly to the ATE Domestic Reporting Manager and play a key part in ensuring our compliance with HMRC regulations, while contributing to a range of strategic and operational projects.

What you'll do:

  • Subject matter expert on ISA and BBSI/OI reporting requirements, ensuring alignment with HMRC regulations.
  • Collaborate with the ATE Domestic Reporting Manager and cross-functional teams (Compliance, Operations, IT) to deliver accurate and timely reporting.
  • Gather and document business requirements, data definitions, and process flows related to ISA and BBSI/OI reporting.
  • Support the design, testing, and implementation of reporting solutions, including data validation and reconciliation activities.
  • Analyse regulatory changes and assess their impact on existing reporting processes and systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline and automate reporting workflows.
  • Provide clear and concise updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across projects.

The skills you'll need:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the banking sector, with a strong focus on regulatory reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISA regulations, and BBSI/OI reporting as defined by HMRC.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable business and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Text files, Access Database.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and control frameworks.
  • Understanding of retail banking products and customer data structures
