On behalf of Computershare, we are looking for a Data & Automation Engineer (Python / SQL) for a 12 Months contract based in London (Hybrid - 3 Times per week in the office)
Join us as a Data & Automation Engineer (Python / SQL) We're looking for a Data & Automation Engineer to join a high-performing team supporting critical back-office processes and data operations. You'll design and deliver Python and SQL-based solutions to automate workflows and respond to investor queries in a complex, secure environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain Python and SQL scripts to support investor queries and operational processes.
- Automate manual workflows and contribute to building scalable data pipelines.
- Handle ad hoc data requests across multiple business processes and projects.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
- Ensure accuracy, reliability, and uptime of data processes within a Linux-based environment.
- Work within a complex infrastructure, ensuring systems and integrations are functioning effectively.
What you will bring to the role:
- Strong hands-on experience with Python scripting and automation.
- Expert-level SQL skills for querying and data manipulation.
- Experience working in Linux environments (command line / virtual environments).
- Ability to manage and prioritise work in a fast-paced, ad hoc environment.
- Strong communication skills with experience in client-facing or stakeholder-facing roles.
- Exposure to tools such as Microsoft Fabric, PowerShell, or similar (desirable).
