Are you an experienced Senior or Lead Electrical Engineer looking for your next career challenge? ARCA Consulting is proud to be partnering with a leading global engineering organisation specialising in advanced vacuum technologies and sophisticated exhaust management systems used within the semiconductor and wider high-tech manufacturing industries.

As part of an established international engineering group, our client develops and manufactures specialist equipment that supports critical manufacturing processes across sectors including semiconductors, electronics, solar and other advanced industrial applications.

Due to ongoing engineering requirements, we are recruiting for Senior Electrical and Lead Electrical Engineers across multiple areas, offering opportunities to contribute to both new product development and the ongoing improvement, reliability and support of existing products.

Whether your strengths lie in bringing innovative products from concept through to commercialisation or enhancing the performance, reliability and serviceability of established equipment, these roles offer the opportunity to make a meaningful technical contribution within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain electrical modules and sub-assemblies for new and existing products, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications and established development processes.
  • Verify and validate electrical designs through appropriate calculations, testing and technical assessment to ensure compliance with relevant design standards and safety requirements.
  • Take technical responsibility for the quality, cost and timely delivery of electrical engineering solutions in line with agreed project milestones.
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including CAD models, drawings, design data, bills of materials and test records.
  • Contribute to new product introduction, supporting the development and commercialisation of innovative engineering solutions.
  • Support existing products through design upgrades, engineering changes and improvements to reliability, serviceability and maintainability.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues, including recurring product or field-related problems, implementing robust and sustainable engineering solutions.
  • Support the management of obsolete components, alternative sourcing and design changes to maintain product availability and long-term performance.
  • Apply design for manufacture and design for assembly principles to improve product quality, cost-effectiveness and manufacturability.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, service, project teams, suppliers and other stakeholders to deliver effective technical solutions.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, system schematics and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to support design and troubleshooting activities.
  • Communicate technical progress, risks and deliverables clearly to senior engineers, project managers and other stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For

Essential:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant electrically biased engineering qualification, supported by appropriate industry experience.
  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and experience contributing to the design, development or improvement of engineered products.
  • Experience using 2D CAD tools, with familiarity with 3D CAD packages such as CATIA, Visio, AutoCAD or similar drafting tools.
  • An understanding of engineering drawings, system schematics and technical documentation.
  • Experience verifying designs against technical requirements and relevant engineering standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate technical issues and develop practical, effective solutions.
  • A results-driven approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against project milestones and deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to report technical progress and key deliverables to senior engineers and project managers.
  • A collaborative and adaptable approach, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Desirable:

  • Experience in new product development, product introduction or product commercialisation.
  • Experience supporting existing products through engineering changes, design upgrades or sustaining engineering activities.
  • Knowledge of design for manufacture (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
  • Experience working with a range of engineering materials and manufacturing methods.
  • An understanding of component obsolescence, alternative sourcing and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience improving product reliability, serviceability and maintainability.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of technical quality.
