Business and Operations Support Apprentice

Role
- Answer and screen incoming telephone calls, enquiries and requests, dealing with them where appropriate or directing them to the relevant team member
- Ensure the reception desk is staffed at all times
- Welcome and greet clients and visitors, show them to meeting rooms and provide refreshments
- Check the answering machine each morning and pass messages to the appropriate staff member
- Maintain a clean, organised and presentable office environment
- Monitor office supplies and stock levels, and advise when orders need to be placed
- Manage incoming and outgoing post, ensuring correspondence is distributed or filed appropriately
- Carry out general administrative duties, including preparing documents, printing, scanning, photocopying and filing
- Manage diaries and meeting arrangements as required
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records with Companies House and HMRC for clients
- Liaise with company suppliers, obtain quotations and maintain records of supplier and contract details
- Basic sales ledger and purchase ledge
- Liaise with clients to ensure the engagement process is completed promptly and efficiently
- Request and collect the necessary client documentation and identification, completing anti money laundering regulations
- Set up and maintain client records on company systems
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the Office Manager and Business Support Manager
- Assist with planning and organising company events, meetings and team activities
Training
You will work towards the Data Technician apprenticeship standard, with training delivered by Solveway alongside your role.
On successful completion, this role can lead to progression onto the next level of the apprenticeship, full-time employment and additional responsibilities as skills and confidence grow.
