7 July 2026We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Business Analyst to join our Commercial & Healthcare Portfolio within Asda Technology. This role is central to identifying customer and business needs, translating them into clear, data-driven requirements that enable teams to deliver the right solutions and measurable value.
You’ll work closely with product owners, engineering teams, delivery colleagues, and key stakeholders to support the successful delivery of Asda’s Formula for Growth - ensuring our technology remains Silent, Stable and Secure.
Please be advised that this position requires attendance at Asda House in Leeds for a minimum of three days per week. We’re really looking forward to having you around!

What You’ll Love
Discovery & Problem Definition
- Lead discovery activities to understand customer problems, user needs, and business objectives
- Gather, analyse, and synthesise qualitative and quantitative insights to define clear problem statements and opportunities
- Shape and frame initiatives to ensure alignment with business value and customer outcomes
Requirements & Backlog Management
- Translate user and business needs into clear, concise, and testable user stories and acceptance criteria
- Ensure requirements are well understood across engineering, design, and operational teams
- Support Product Owners with backlog refinement, prioritisation, and scope definition
- Contribute to delivering solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements
Data, Insight & Delivery Support
- Monitor trends and use data insights to identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities
- Support delivery by ensuring requirements traceability and alignment with programme goals
- Contribute to governance processes, ensuring documentation, decisions, and rationale are captured
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Build strong relationships across product, engineering, delivery, operations, and third-party partners
- Communicate insights, requirements, and progress clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure alignment and shared understanding
What You’ll Need
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within product or project environments
- Strong understanding of business analysis techniques and requirements definition
- Experience translating complex business needs into structured requirements and user stories
- Ability to analyse data and produce meaningful insights to support decision-making
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
Desirable Qualifications
- Formal Business Analysis certification (e.g., BCS, IIBA)
- Experience working within retail, commercial, or healthcare technology environments
- Familiarity with product-led delivery models and tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
