Client Assistant – Digital Media Operations

About the role

Are you organised, digitally minded and interested in working with some of the UK’s best-loved brands?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Client Assistant to join the Asda Media team at Asda House.

You will support the end-to-end delivery of digital retail media campaigns across Asda’s onsite and offsite channels. This will include helping to set up, monitor and optimise campaigns across sponsored products, onsite display and offsite media channels.

Working closely with our Client, Commercial and Media teams, as well as agency and technology partners, you will help ensure campaigns launch accurately, deliver against their objectives and provide a great experience for our suppliers and customers.

You will monitor campaign performance, identify delivery risks and support the team in making timely optimisations to maximise results and media revenue. You will also help maintain accurate campaign records, produce performance reporting and continually improve the processes used to plan and deliver our digital media activity.

This is a fast-paced and evolving area of the business, offering an excellent opportunity to build practical experience across retail media, ecommerce and performance marketing.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the planning, set-up and delivery of digital media campaigns across onsite and offsite channels.
  • Coordinate campaign information, creative assets and approvals to ensure activity launches accurately and on time.
  • Monitor live campaigns against agreed budgets, timelines and performance objectives.
  • Identify delivery issues, media inefficiencies and revenue risks, escalating them quickly and supporting appropriate solutions.
  • Make or coordinate campaign optimisations to improve delivery and performance.
  • Produce accurate and timely campaign reports, highlighting results, challenges and recommended actions.
  • Maintain campaign trackers, booking information and platform records to create a clear and reliable view of activity.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, agencies, suppliers and media technology partners.
  • Support the development of consistent campaign-management processes and ways of working.
  • Keep up to date with developments across onsite retail media, programmatic display, paid social and other offsite channels.

About You

  • Experience in digital media, ecommerce, marketing, campaign operations or a similar role is desirable.
  • An understanding of digital campaign delivery, including trafficking, monitoring, optimisation and reporting.
  • Awareness of onsite and offsite media channels, such as sponsored products, digital display, programmatic media or paid social.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines accurately.
  • Comfortable working with campaign data and using it to identify issues and opportunities.
  • Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a wider, cross-functional team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities, platforms and processes continue to evolve.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new media platforms and technology.

Everything you'll love

To ensure we balance moments where we know we need to collaborate together and the need for flexibility, Asda has a hybrid way of working with a minimum 3 days a week in one of our Home Offices. Over and above this, each area of Asda may have additional requirements which may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores or depots.

You will also get an excellent benefits package including:

  • Discretionary company bonus

  • Company pension up to 7% matched

  • 15% colleague discount in store and online

  • Free access to wellbeing services such as Stream, 24/7 virtual GP, counselling, health and dental cash plans and a 24/7 employee assistance helpline, alongside discounts across a range of services and activities, from airport parking, enhanced to theme parks and cinemas.

  • Asda Allies Inclusion Networks – helping colleagues to make sure everybody is included and that our differences are recognised and celebrated

  • Excellent parental leave policies, including maternity & adoption leave, paternity leave, shared parental leave, neonatal care leave, and support for those doing fertility treatments.

We want all colleagues to be able to bring their best and true selves to work, every day. Simply put, we want our colleagues to be Proud to be Asda and proud to be themselves
