The Company
A £40m+ turnover technology recruitment business with established practices across SAP, Dynamics, Oracle, ServiceNow, and key accounts. The leadership team has strong stability with a median tenure of 4.6 years and a reputation for structured, growth-focused leadership rather than a high-churn, KPI-heavy environment.
The business is expanding its specialist verticals to meet growing client demand, with Data & AI identified as a major opportunity. The company partners with a wide range of enterprise and VC-backed clients, operating on both contract and permanent delivery models.
The Role
The Head of Data & AI will be responsible for building and scaling a dedicated Data & AI practice, capitalising on increasing client demand and market opportunity. The role offers the opportunity to lead from the front, inherit an existing team, and shape the strategic direction of the vertical.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 5-6 consultants (mix of senior, consultant, and junior levels).
- Team is currently at £145k Average NFI per consultant, need to be at £180k
- Drive contract or perm growth
- Build and maintain relationships with existing enterprise and VC-backed clients, as well as developing new business opportunities.
- Leverage strong market demand in areas such as Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and other high-growth technologies.
- Collaborate with other vertical leaders to cross-sell across the company’s client base.
- Report into senior leadership and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Candidate Profile
- Strong background in contract recruitment within technology, ideally with exposure to Data & AI markets.
- Experience managing or mentoring a small team
- Track record of consistent billings and developing client relationships.
- Commercially driven, with the ability to spot and act on market opportunities.
- Stable career history, ideally with one or two significant roles rather than multiple short stints.
- Dynamic and ambitious, with the drive to build a market from the ground up.
