Gaming Community Manager / Player Engagement Specialist
Gaming Community Manager / Player Engagement Specialist who has a passion for gaming with perfect written English, experience in community building and conflict resolution with Gamers and a social media expert, especially using Discord and Twitter / X is required for a brand-new game launching on the 8th September 2025.
SALARY: £17 per Hour / 19.50 per Hour
LOCATION: Remote (Candidates Must be based in the UK or Ireland)
JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Contract
WORKING HOURS: 4 to 6 Hours per Day, 4 to 5 Days per Week – Coverage will be aligned to French Working Hours (1 Hour Ahead of UK)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Gaming Community Manager / Player Engagement Specialist who has a passion for gaming with perfect written English, experience in community building and conflict resolution with Gamers and a social media expert, especially using Discord and Twitter / X.
Working as the Gaming Community Manager / Player Engagement Specialist you will be the voice of the brand and build a thriving, engaged community for this new and exciting upcoming game.
This is a fantastic opportunity for Gaming Community Manager / Player Engagement Specialist to get in on the ground floor, shaping the community from the very beginning. You'll be working closely with the development team, acting as the bridge between the gamers / players and the creators.
DUTIES
Your duties as the Gaming Community Manager / Player Engagement Specialist include:
- Planning and Reporting: Working alongside the Community Development team, you'll align on key topics and messaging for the company’s social media channels. You'll also be responsible for consolidating player feedback and community visibility into clear, regular reports
- Content Creation: You'll collaborate to craft and schedule engaging social media / SoME content, including calendar planning, post wording, and briefing for assets. The company is looking for someone with essential Adobe Photoshop skills to design digital assets for the engagement posts
- Community Engagement: You'll be the first point of contact for the community, answering questions, providing basic customer support, and acting as the main interface between gamers / players and the dev team. You'll also be responsible for overseeing and coordinating volunteer moderators
Pre-Launch Certification (Week of Sept 1):
You'll get an intensive pre-launch certification to fully immerse yourself in the project:
- 3 hours dedicated to reviewing Discord and social channels to understand the company’s tone
- 3 days of in-game immersion to get to know the game inside and out
- You'll build the initial content calendar, engagement templates, and tone guidelines

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- A genuine passion for gaming or experience within the computer gaming industry
- Perfect written English
- Proven experience in community building and conflict resolution
- Expertise in social media / SoME platforms, especially Discord and Twitter/X
- Strong crisis management skills
- A knack for data analysis and reporting
- A solid technical understanding of games and gaming platforms
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
