L3 ICT Support Apprentice - Axia Computer Systems – Watford WD24
Axia Computer Systems are an IT Company based in Watford, this is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, close knit small team in an IT Support role offering variety and plenty of scope to learn new skills for the right candidate.
Role
As an IT Support Apprentice your key responsibilities will be:
- Providing technical telephone, remote, onsite and email support
- Log calls in the helpdesk call logging system
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, network and software issues
- Manage users and permissions within Active Directory
- Install & Configure Hardware & Software
- Monitor remote backup systems
- Migration of systems to Cloud such as Azure and Office 365
- Manage Backup Estate
- Manage VMWare Estate
- Assist in any other general tasks that may arise
Desired skills and experience:
- Experience of Windows XP/Windows 7/Windows 10
- Experience of Active Directory User Administration
- Experience of Microsoft office and office 365
- Basic understanding of Networking solutions, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN.
- Confident spoken and written English
- Ability to prioritise tasks and be aware of time constraints and deadlines
- Ability to research and learn new technologies/solutions under pressure
- Strong team player
- Experience with VMware/Hyper-V
- Willing to learn and improve skill set with on-the-job training.
Training
Programme: Information Communications Technician – Support Technician Pathway
During this apprenticeship, you will follow a fully supported training programme with LearnTech, delivered through combined weekly remote classroom-based training, workplace assessment/training and online learning working towards completing the L3 Information Communications Technician standard.

There may be the opportunity to apply for a full-time role at the end of the Apprenticeship, or you will be able to work as an IT Support Technician.
