What you’ll do (key responsibilities)
• Programme leadership
• Orchestrate concept-to-launch plans aligned to PCDS; drive critical paths, dependencies, and gateways.
• Run daily/weekly control cycles, RAID, and change control; escalate smartly and early when support is needed.
• Prepare dashboards and executive packs on delivery status, resource loading, and cost/forecast (CAPEX/OPEX).
• Manage SAP budgets, contribute to SOMP summaries, and ensure funding aligns to programme priorities.
• Stakeholder & governance
• Build strong relationships with engineering, Cyber Chapter, Product Creation & Delivery, Finance, Purchasing, and supplier partners.
• Govern against applicable standards and frameworks; ensure decisions are well-informed, data-backed, and timely.
• Provide clear, proactive comms—stakeholders hear from you before they need to ask.
• Integrated software & cyber delivery
• Plan and deliver integrated software packs for propulsion and cross-domain ECUs (e.g., GWM, TCU, BCM, VCM).
• Lead system requirements reviews; apply Failure Mode Avoidance principles and DFMEA/PFMEA inputs into plans.
• Coordinate security features and readiness: VKMS/crypto agility, HSM/SecOC, secure boot & SW signing, firewalling, IDS, IPsec/TLS, logging/telemetry.
• Ensure sufficient test coverage for HIL rigs and on-vehicle verification; align test cases to requirements and risks.
• Issue resolution & quality
• Drive cross-functional root-cause analysis using AIMS/Jira; apply structured problem-solving and “fix-forward” plans.
• Track software issue investigation, defect burn-down, containment, and effectiveness checks.
• Tie every risk/issue to an owner, date, and measurable outcome; report with solutions, not excuses.
• Planning & readiness
• Create high-level status summaries for gateways; manage integrated plans across Engineering & Industrialisation.
• Prepare reports and trackers for vehicle usage of engineering fleets; coordinate gateways, trials, and sign-off events.
• Maintain compliance evidence (security requirements, TARAs, pen-test findings, mitigations, audits).
What you’ll need (skills & experience)
• Background: Technical degree or equivalent experience in software, controls, cybersecurity, or systems integration.
• Delivery toolkit: Proven programme/project management across complex automotive or embedded systems; fluent with PCDS (or similar), Agile/Scaled Agile (Scrum/Kanban), RAID, change control, and gateway management.
• Technical depth:
• Understanding of vehicle EE architectures and multi-ECU integration; familiarity with propulsion systems and high-voltage/electrified components is a plus.
• Cybersecurity in automotive (UNECE R155, ISO 21434; exposure to ISO 26262 beneficial).
• Experience with secure software delivery lifecycles, requirement traceability, and verification planning.
• Problem-solving: Strong root-cause and cost/impact analysis; converts ambiguity into actionable plans.
• Communication: Crisp written/oral comms; builds alignment across execs, engineers, and suppliers.
• Tools: AIMS, Jira, Confluence; SAP for budgets; DOORS (or equivalent) for requirements; standard MS/Google productivity suites; HIL/validation exposure.
Nice to have
• Experience coordinating SAP budgets and SOMP contributions.
• Prior leadership across supplier ecosystems and multi-site teams.
• Knowledge of data logging/telemetry for cyber events; familiarity with IDS footprints and secure diagnostics.
• Exposure to HIL lab operations, test fleet logistics, and vehicle flash/SWDL sequences.
