Our client builds powerful online infrastructure for researchers to create and deploy behavioural experiments, from measuring reaction times to simulating real-world decision-making tasks through games and ecommerce-style experiences.

The Role: What You’ll Be Doing

As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll be instrumental in evolving the platform’s capabilities, building new features, enhancing the user experience, and maintaining a clean and efficient codebase. You’ll work closely with the product and engineering teams on a wide range of tasks from backend integration to frontend polish.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and releasing new features
• Identifying and resolving bugs
• Integrating new services (e.g. analytics, marketing, accounting APIs)
• Streamlining onboarding and improving overall user experience
• Working with the product team on UX and UI enhancements
• Testing and validating releases in staging environments

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a capable, pragmatic developer with an eye for clean code and great user experience. Someone who enjoys autonomy, thrives in a remote-first environment, and can get things done without overcomplicating the process.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Strong web development experience in a professional setting
• Solid programming skills (TypeScript is the primary language used)
• Familiarity with web technologies (Node.js, SQL, Azure or similar, AWS or GCP for example)
• The ability to design clean, usable user interfaces
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Comfort working independently in a remote role
• A keen interest in science or research is a nice bonus
• A proactive attitude with a focus on delivering pragmatic solutions
