Business Development Representative - Education / EdTech

Business Development Representative - Education / EdTech
Remote / Home-Based | £35,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission + Benefits

Great people. A genuinely supportive culture. A product that makes a difference.

We're recruiting for a growing organisation operating within the education and learning technology sector, helping education providers, employers and workplace teams access innovative services and software solutions.

This is a business where culture really matters. You'll be joining a friendly, positive and collaborative team where people are valued, supported and encouraged to develop.

The role is predominantly home-based, giving you plenty of autonomy, with occasional UK travel for client meetings, exhibitions and industry events.

The Role

As Business Development Representative, you'll develop new customer relationships and convert opportunities into long-term clients.

This is very much a consultative sales role rather than simply selling on price. You'll take the time to understand a customer's challenges, demonstrate the value of the organisation's services and software, and recommend the right solution.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Following up and converting leads generated through marketing campaigns
  • Developing your own new business opportunities
  • Managing prospects through the full sales pipeline
  • Running discovery meetings and understanding customer requirements
  • Delivering presentations, proposals and software/product demonstrations
  • Building relationships with senior decision-makers
  • Attending relevant education events, exhibitions and conferences
  • Developing customers into long-term relationships

The role combines lead conversion, proactive business development and relationship management, with the opportunity to represent a growing organisation in an interesting and meaningful sector.

Who Are We Looking For?

You'll already have experience in B2B sales, business development or solution selling, with the confidence to engage senior decision-makers and develop relationships from initial conversation through to close.

Experience within education, training, apprenticeships or EdTech would be fantastic, as would experience selling software, SaaS or technology solutions.

However, neither is essential.

We're equally interested in strong consultative salespeople from other sectors who can demonstrate that they can understand a customer's needs, communicate a compelling solution and build trusted, long-term relationships.

You'll need to be self-motivated and comfortable working remotely, but you certainly won't be working in isolation - this is a supportive, collaborative business with genuinely good people around you.

Why Join?

Alongside a £35,000 basic salary and commission, you'll benefit from home-based working, pension, SimplyHealth options and the opportunity to join an organisation that places real emphasis on positivity, respect, continuous development and looking after both its customers and its people.

If you're looking for a sales role where you can work remotely, join a great team and sell something with genuine purpose within education, we'd love to hear from you.
