This role would suit a highly creative and detail-oriented UX/UI professional who is equally comfortable working on customer journeys, interaction design, visual design systems and complex digital products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create exceptional visual design across web and interactive platforms, with a focus on clarity, hierarchy and precision.

  • Design end-to-end customer journeys and digital experiences across Housing Repairs services.

  • Contribute to concept development, solving both business and customer problems and carrying ideas through to beautifully executed outcomes.

  • Create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs.

  • Design systems, interfaces and reusable components that scale across multiple touchpoints and experiences.

  • Collaborate closely with UX specialists, content designers, product teams and engineers to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.

  • Translate ideas into sketches, prototypes and production-ready designs with speed and accuracy.

  • Conduct user-centred design activities, design validation workshops and usability testing.

  • Uphold and elevate the level of design craft across all outputs, ensuring consistency and attention to detail throughout the design lifecycle.

  • Present design work with confidence, clearly articulating the rationale behind design decisions and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

  • Work closely with the Design Lead and Product teams to refine and evolve the overall design direction.

  • Ensure designs comply with accessibility standards, digital best practice and organisational design principles.

  • Support the development of resident-facing self-service channels and digital service improvements.

  • Produce detailed specifications and assets to support successful development and implementation.

Essential Requirements

  • Significant experience in visual and interactive design, ideally gained within agency, consultancy or large-scale transformation environments.

  • A portfolio demonstrating a high level of design craft, commercial understanding and exceptional attention to detail.

  • Experience designing for large-scale digital platforms, products or service ecosystems.

  • Strong understanding of customer-centred design methodologies and service design principles.

  • Experience creating design systems, component libraries and scalable interface patterns.

  • Strong understanding of complex product environments, systems thinking and business processes.

  • The ability to move fluidly between concept development and detailed execution.

  • Expertise in user journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping and interaction design.

  • Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools, including Figma and similar platforms.

  • Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.

  • The ability to operate at pace whilst maintaining an exceptionally high standard of output.

  • A deeply detail-oriented approach with a commitment to quality and consistency.

  • Experience delivering digital products and services within complex, regulated environments.

  • Strong understanding of accessibility, inclusive design and compliance requirements
