Accounts Assistant

Working for an established Property Investment & Development Company who operates across the full spectrum of the property industry. We are a stable and growing business with a diverse UK-wide portfolio. We are looking to appoint someone with experience in property management accounts to join our team.The Role
  • Receive and review incoming invoices, verifying accuracy and completeness of information. 
  • Code and enter invoices into the financial system, ensuring proper allocation to relevant accounts and cost centres. 
  • Update daily banking entries into manual cashbook & accounting software.
  • Enter purchase-related data into the accounting system with a high level of accuracy. 
  • Prepare payment runs in accordance with established payment terms and schedules. Liaise with internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records, including contact information and payment terms. 
  • Respond to supplier inquiries, resolve payment-related issues, and maintain positive supplier relationships. 
  • Assist in month-end closing processes by providing necessary reports and Bank reconciliations. 
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to provide support during audits and financial reporting processes. 
  • Setting up new Clients/Properties/Units/Tenants/Charges/Periodicity of rents
  • Updating tenants with rent reviews and lease information. Updating tenant charges with rent increases. Actioning lease assignments, tenancy terminations and creating new tenancies.
  • Sending demands at the appropriate times
  • To be able to manage block management accounts from start to finish.
  • General administrative duties, Filling, archiving, shredding etc.
Skills Required
  • Able to plan, prioritise, and coordinate, multi-task and complete work assignments within deadlines.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and non-verbal) across all levels of the business.
  • IT and computer literate.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft packages, and property management software i.e. Tramps, Bluebox
  • Attention to detail.

  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar accounting/finance environment
