Lead of Sales - UK
A venture-backed Robotics-as-a-Service innovator is entering the UK market and is seeking a senior, hands-on commercial leader to own and scale its initial growth. This is a confidential opportunity to join a high-impact automation business at an early stage and play a defining role in establishing its UK presence.The Company Transforming warehouse automation through a software-led RaaS platform that combines AI, ML, and IoT-enabled robotics. The solution delivers measurable outcomes for logistics and fulfilment operators, including up to 200% productivity gains and 70% labour cost reduction, without the traditional capital-heavy automation model.With strong traction internationally, now building its UK footprint and is looking for a commercially driven leader to take ownership of this expansion.The Role Reporting directly to the CEO, the Lead of Sales – UK will have end-to-end ownership of commercial growth in the UK. This is an early, senior hire with significant autonomy, suited to a self-starting sales leader who enjoys building from zero and operating close to customers.You will define the UK go-to-market strategy, drive new enterprise customer acquisition, establish key partnerships, and lay the foundations for scalable, repeatable revenue.Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the UK go-to-market strategy across sales, partnerships, and early marketing activity
- Own and build the UK sales pipeline, targeting 3PLs, fulfilment operators, and large warehouse environments
- Lead complex, consultative sales cycles with senior logistics and operations stakeholders
- Establish strategic partnerships with system integrators, WMS/ERP providers, OEMs, and automation partners
- Drive market penetration through account-based and intent-led outreach
- Close initial flagship customers and deliver £1–2m in revenue in year one
- Act as the commercial face in the UK, building credibility and long-term customer relationships
- Feed market insight back to product and leadership teams to shape future growth
- Proven experience in senior sales or commercial leadership roles within logistics, 3PL, fulfilment, or warehouse automation
- Strong track record of closing complex B2B technology or automation-led deals with long sales cycles
- Deep understanding of warehouse operations and customer pain points
- Experience selling software-led solutions into operational environments (RaaS, WMS, automation, or enterprise logistics tech preferred)
- Existing network within UK logistics / 3PL is highly advantageous
- Comfortable operating as an early hire in a startup environment – hands-on, adaptable, and self-directed
- Commercially sharp, credible with C-suite stakeholders, and confident challenging assumptions
- Willing to travel to customers and partners across the UK
- Base salary: £60,000–£90,000 (depending on experience)
- Commission: Uncapped, with quarterly payouts
- Equity: Share participation available (post-cliff or year one)
