Project Engineer | Manchester (Hybrid Working) £40,000 – £50,000 (DOE) + Benefits Note: You must have a valid drivers licence as this role will require on-site client project delivery. You’ll be joining a well-established and growing IT managed service provider (MSP), supporting a diverse client base and working within a technically strong, delivery-focused team.We’re looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join in a hands-on role focused on 70% project delivery and 30% senior technical escalation. This role is best suited to someone with very strong MSP experience who enjoys delivering projects end-to-end while still tackling the occasional complex issue.As a Project Engineer, you’ll implement agreed technical designs and project scopes, ensuring work is delivered on time and fit for client purpose. You’ll act as a technical contact for the Account Management team, helping to design, validate and sense-check solutions both in the pre-sales process and the post sales delivery process. You’ll work alongside another Project Engineer, collaborating on delivery and knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities• Deliver technical projects end-to-end from agreed designs and scopes, with a strong focus on Azure• Validate and sense-check proposed technical solutions for suitability, security, and practicality• Implement projects across Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop, Modern Workplace, and security platforms• Own technical delivery, risks, and issue resolution across multiple workstreams• Provide senior-level escalation support (around 30% of the role)• Support Cyber Essentials remediation and client onboardings• Produce clear project documentation and handoversYou’ll also bring strong experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure AD / Entra, PowerShell automation, and broad technical exposure across Windows, macOS, networking, security, backup, and DR.As the Project Engineer, you’ll have MSP or client-facing experience delivering projects, with deep hands-on Azure capability across cloud infrastructure, identity, and modern workplace services.You’re organised, delivery-focused, confident managing multiple projects, and comfortable engaging with Account Managers and customers. You enjoy the pace of MSP delivery and hold a full driving licence with access to a vehicle.
