Data Architect - Azure
About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Data Architect with strong expertise in Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric, and Data & BI solutions to design, implement, and optimize modern enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in building scalable data architectures, enabling advanced analytics, and driving cloud-based data transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-scale data architecture solutions on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
- Build scalable and secure data platforms supporting Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Reporting, and Analytics.
- Define data models, data integration strategies, governance frameworks, and best practices.
- Lead the design and implementation of modern BI and analytics solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Fabric Dataflows, Synapse, and related Azure services.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure data quality, security, scalability, performance optimization, and compliance standards across the platform.
- Drive cloud modernization and migration initiatives from legacy/on-premise systems to Azure-based ecosystems.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance to Data Engineering and BI teams.
- Support advanced analytics, AI/ML readiness, and real-time reporting initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience as a Data Architect within enterprise Data & BI environments.
- Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, Azure Data Lake, SQL Server/Azure SQL, along with expertise in designing and implementing Data Warehousing, Lakehouse, ETL/ELT, and cloud-native data architectures.
- Strong understanding of Data Engineering, Analytics, Reporting, and BI frameworks.
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data sources.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, security, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Ability to drive architecture discussions and provide strategic technical recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills.
