The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with all companies within the Academia Technology Group (ATG) and will gain exposure to all areas HR! In this role, you’ll work closely with our talented People & Leadership team to support and deliver impactful processes, rewards and people focused campaigns with a strong focus on employee wellbeing and culture. This role would suit an experienced HR Generalist who is keen to progress and develop within a HR environment. The People Generalist will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks within the team. You will provide a comprehensive administrative function, with a strong recruitment bias. Working closely with divisional leaders you will advise on HR matters such as disciplinary procedures, performance management, absence management, learning and development and the like.

CIPD qualified or working towards is advantageous but not essential.
Amongst other tasks, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting with the full 360 Talent Management, ensuring a smooth and efficient process, this will include ensuring sign off is complete right through to offer letter and onboarding.
- Employee relations, resolve workplace issues and offer guidance and support to managers.
- Administration for compensation and benefits.
- Administration for HR related matters.
- Monitoring and supporting with performance management.
- Monthly payroll collation.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records including any contractual changes.
- Policy and process management, ensuring all employees are aware and management is confident in their understanding of internal policies and processes.
- Supporting with ongoing and adhoc HR Projects, this may include the development of processes and policies, system integration and more as the business grows.
- Conducting regular management workshops and people focused workshops across the group.
- Identify data trends i.e sickness absence, turnover, competitor analysis.
- Managing the people team mailbox
- Compliance, ensuring the appropriate vetting is completed including proof of right to work check, DBS, referencing etc...
- Supporting with people team events, initiatives and committees.
- Supporting line managers in disciplinary or grievance situations by offering advice, minute-taking and generating follow-up documentation.
- Overseeing employee lifecycle
Key Skills:
- Exceptional standards in quality of work.
- Knowledge of the latest and upcoming Employment legislation changes
- Awareness and an understanding of the Acas code of practice
- Confident in resolving conflict management
- Ability to handle sensitive information whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Knowledge of the full 360 Talent management cycle
- Productive and efficient with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Able to establish and maintain constructive working relationships at every level in an organisation; team player.
- Able to demonstrate drive and ambition by working well on your own (i.e. self-motivated) and assisting in areas outside of your typical role when needed.
- Exposure to HR generalist activities.
- Demonstrable organisational skills and ability to multi-task.
- High level of attention to detail in order to prepare accurate documents.
- Capable and confident of acting as point of reference/contact for enquiries.
