Application Support Engineer
3rd Line Application/Customer Support – Gillingham, UK | Up to £35,000

We’re looking for a 3rd Line Application/Customer Support to be the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance. If you enjoy problem-solving, have strong communication skills, and a solid background in SQL troubleshooting, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing technical support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, or remote tools
- Troubleshooting SQL databases (queries, stored procedures, performance issues)
- Logging and documenting issues and resolutions clearly
- Escalating complex cases to the right teams/vendors
- Supporting software installations, updates, and configurations
- Collaborating with colleagues to improve processes and spot recurring issues
- Staying up to date with our IT infrastructure and helpdesk systems
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in IT Helpdesk or technical support roles
- SQL knowledge and hands-on troubleshooting experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools
- Solid understanding of Windows and/or Linux environments
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and ability to work both independently and in a team
