About the Role

Our client, a trusted Microsoft Partner, is looking for a skilled Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of modern data platforms using the Microsoft technology stack. This role is pivotal in shaping enterprise-grade solutions that support advanced analytics, reporting, and data governance across a wide range of sectors. Experience with Microsoft Fabric is highly desirable as clients move towards next-generation data strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect robust, scalable data solutions using Microsoft Azure services and tools.
• Lead discovery sessions and translate business requirements into high-level and detailed solution designs.
• Deliver enterprise data platform architectures, including data warehousing, lakehouse, and real-time data ingestion.
• Guide and mentor data engineering teams throughout delivery lifecycles.
• Define data governance, security, and integration patterns aligned to Microsoft best practices.
• Collaborate with the pre-sales team to shape client solutions, contribute to technical discovery sessions, and articulate architectural approaches.
• Support proposal development by providing technical input, solution design narratives, and estimations for data platform engagements.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong background in data architecture with deep expertise in the Microsoft data ecosystem.
• Extensive experience with the Azure stack, with tools such as Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, Azure SQL, and related services.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT frameworks, and performance optimisation.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present technical content to business stakeholders.
• Experience designing secure, compliant, and cost-effective cloud-based data solutions.
