Google Cloud Engineering Team Lead
Role Overview
We are seeking a Google Cloud Engineering Team Lead to join the Accenture Google Business Group (AGBG) within Accenture Technology in the UK, with a strong focus on UK public sector clients. In this role, you will lead small engineering teams to design, build and operate secure, scalable Google Cloud solutions that enable Google-scale services for our clients.
Security Clearance Requirement
Any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory BPSS and SC security clearance. This requires a minimum of 5 years continuous UK address history at the point of application, typically including no periods of 30 consecutive days or more spent outside of the UK.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead a small team of Google Cloud platform or data engineers to deliver Google Cloud solutions
- Design, deploy and operate secure Google Cloud solutions for client environments and internal reference implementations
- Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentorship to engineers, ensuring high-quality delivery
- Contribute to and lead the design of Google Cloud components within larger programmes
- Input into technical blueprints, standards and solution designs aligned to client and Accenture requirements
Required Skills and Experience
- At least one Google Cloud Professional-level certification
- Strong expertise across Google Cloud services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage and GKE
- Hands-on experience implementing foundational cloud platforms including landing zones, IAM, VPC and networking, or data platforms such as pipelines, storage and databases
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Set Yourself Apart
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform), CI/CD pipelines and scripting languages such as Bash or Python
- Hands-on experience producing technical documentation including architecture diagrams, design specifications and operational runbooks
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption and firewalling
- Hands-on experience with networking across cloud and on-premise systems
- Proven experience leading small technical teams and mentoring junior engineers
- Experience in site reliability engineering or production operations, including incident troubleshooting
- Excellent problem-solving skills with examples of technical innovation or delivery improvement
- Minimum of 5 years uninterrupted residency in the UK and eligibility for UK SC clearance
