As a Senior Decisioning Architect, you are the configuration and architectural visionary across the Next‐Best‐Action (NBA) Execution Team. You define, govern, and drive the implementation of decisioning standards, strategy architecture, and arbitration frameworks using Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH).

You will lead the design and delivery of real‐time decisioning and personalization solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory standards, and enterprise architecture. This role requires deep hands‐on expertise in Pega Decisioning, strong leadership across agile teams, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, reusable decisioning frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Decisioning Architecture & Strategy

  • Architect and deliver complex Pega Decisioning / CDH solutions aligned with business objectives and customer engagement strategies.
  • Define and own the end‐to‐end decisioning framework, including engagement policies, arbitration, taxonomy, and reuse standards.
  • Shape decisioning strategy architecture across inbound and outbound channels, ensuring consistent customer communications.

Next‐Best‐Action Design & Implementation

  • Translate business requirements into Next‐Best‐Action Designer strategies and engagement policies.
  • Create and configure actions, treatments, propositions, segments, contact policies, and business rules.
  • Implement arbitration logic, engagement hierarchies, and eligibility rules within NBA strategies.
  • Build and unit test the end‐to‐end decisioning framework, ensuring correctness and scalability.

Technical Leadership & Governance

  • Provide application leadership and technical vision for decisioning across multiple scrum teams.
  • Ensure adoption of best practices, reusability, and architectural standards across all decisioning assets.
  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and compliance.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex decisioning, integration, and performance issues.

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Marketing teams, and Agile delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Mentor and guide Decisioning Architects, NBA Designers, and junior developers.
  • Document decisioning solutions and frameworks to support knowledge sharing and team enablement.
  • Support testing, QA, business simulations, NBA reporting, monitoring, and control.

Quality, Compliance & Innovation

  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory standards, particularly in regulated environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve decisioning and integration issues to minimize business disruption.
  • Stay current with Pega Decisioning, CDH, and AI capabilities, applying relevant enhancements to improve solutions.
  • Promote real‐time decisioning and personalization to enhance customer experience and business outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Certified Pega Lead Decisioning Architect
  • or Senior Decisioning Architect / Certified Pega Decisioning Consultant (Infinity ’24 or ’25).
  • 8–10 years of Pega experience, including 5+ years focused on Decisioning / Customer Decision Hub.
  • Strong expertise in:
  • Next‐Best‐Action (NBA) Designer
  • Decision strategies and arbitration
  • Omnichannel engagement and personalization
  • Interaction history and decisioning analytics
  • Proven ability to lead Pega decisioning initiatives within large, complex organizations.
  • Experience integrating Pega with APIs, databases, and external platforms.
  • Hands‐on technical leadership with strong problem‐solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Cloud‐based Pega deployments and DevOps practices.
  • Exposure to machine learning, AI, and data science concepts applied to decisioning.
  • Experience in financial services, telecom, or other regulated industries.
  • Prior consulting or enterprise‐scale delivery experience.
  • Multi‐channel decisioning experience across inbound and outbound touchpoints.
