Large ongoing project migrating from NSX and Legacy F5 VIPRION load balancing solutions to a new F5 Velos-based platform, outlining the technical process, user requirements, and the need for supporting documentation.

A new NSX migration tool has been developed, which allows users to input a virtual server name and outputs the NSX configuration as a JSON payload.

The process for configuring load balancers involves specifying application names, load balancing parameters (such as ports, IP addresses, and health monitoring), and using example payloads provided in user guides. The system supports various protocols and includes documentation for common tasks like taking services out of rotation for maintenance.

The Engineers will need expertise in JSON and load balancing to support the migration

Engineer Skillset and Roles: migration team should include engineers proficient in JSON configuration and load balancing concepts, who will use the automation tool to build and validate payloads, and support the cutover process.
