Automation Tester - Central Government

I am recruiting for an experienced Automation Tester to work remotely with occasional travel for meetings.

This role falls inside IR35 so you will need to work through an umbrella company for the duration of the contract.

Candidates must have recent Central Goverment experience.

You will have strong experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks for UI, API, and end to end testing.

You will be proficient with Playwright and/or Cypress for E2E test automation.

Hands on experience testing services built with Kotlin and TypeScript.

You must have a strong understanding of API testing, including calls to legacy systems and modern integration services.

Experience with integration resilience testing (handling failures, timeouts, and degraded upstream dependencies).

You will be familiar with contract testing (e.g., PACT).

Candidates must have experience working in environments with multiple APIs and complex system interactions.
