Finance Manager

Interim Group Finance Manager / Salary: Up to £60,000 / 3 Months temp This role could be extended and might even go permanent.. Location: Fully Remote (UK) Travel: Candidates must be based within Merseyside, Cheshire or Lancashire and be willing to attend occasional meetings in the North West. The Company A growing private equity-backed technology business is seeking an experienced Group Finance Manager to support its expanding finance function. Operating across multiple entities, the business delivers innovative digital solutions to clients throughout the UK. The Role Reporting to the CFO, the Group Finance Manager will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while acting as a key business partner across the wider organisation. This is a broad and hands-on position offering significant exposure to financial reporting, planning, controls and commercial activities. Key Responsibilities * Produce monthly management accounts and group consolidations across multiple entities. * Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning. * Prepare board packs, investor reporting and ad hoc financial analysis. * Manage cashflow and maintain rolling cashflow forecasts. * Oversee payroll activities and ensure compliance with relevant legislation. * Manage audit processes, tax submissions and statutory reporting requirements. * Oversee VAT and other regulatory filings. * Support M&A activity including due diligence, financial modelling and integration projects. * Maintain robust financial controls and support continuous process improvements. * Assist with transactional finance activities where required. About You * Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or an experienced finalist. * Strong background in management accounts and financial reporting. * Experience within SME environments, ideally technology, SaaS or high-growth businesses. * Strong Excel and financial systems skills. * Experience working across multiple entities would be advantageous. * Commercially minded with excellent stakeholder management skills. * Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment.
